My wife is thin and healthy, avoids sugar, but her A1C was high. She micro doses a GLP-1 and it dropped her levels significantly. Better than getting diabetes.

Hardest thing I ever had to do was sugar withdrawal.

I'm in great shape for my age, but I was addicted to sweets.

I changed my diet two ways in order to give up sugar:

1) Thanks to whoever put the Yuka app information on this site. I started using that to purchase groceries and cut out items that fell below the 50 threshold on the app. Reducing these extras from your diet also helps reduce sugar cravings

2) Slowly replaced my sugar addiction by starting with eating fruit when I got a craving. Or a sweet that is sweetened with stevia or other natural sugars. Watermelon is my go to now when I have a sugar craving.

Fast foward six months later, I ate a chocolate chip cookie a few days ago that came with a Chik Fil A meal. Cookie was amazing and it was like having a drug again for the first time in forever, but an hour or so later I feld like absolute shite. I can now easily pass up sweets without a second thought.

i actually agree with the doc but think it will eventually be Retatutide that is microdosed.

but everyone shouldnt be doing that. after say age...40 or 50...sure plenty of health benefits that come along with something like reta but until then...not everyone needs to be

and you should only be microdosing as part of an overall health plan. just taking it and depending on it is fricking stupid imo

imo the future will be microdosing Reta, small amounts of HGH and trt in terms of maximizing health, longevity and anti aging

now that goes along with progressive weightlifting for strength, great diet and plenty of other physical activity.

but none of that should be subsidized at all. frick that. everyone should pay for it themselves. stop saving poor low iq people from themselves.

It’s not the sugar.

It’s the seed oils, as everything cooked on-grid is laden with seed oils.

It’s really everything on-grid is bad.

The seed oils have a huge impact on weight gain.

But all is inverted.

Salt should be good for you, in most cases the product people consume as ‘salt’ is bad.

Sugar shouldn’t be very bad for you but the highly refined processed version is very bad.

Bread should be good but the bread in grocery stores is essentially cake made to look like bread.

For millions of people a glp-1 is no different than the help an alcoholic, heroin addict, compulsive gambler, or a smoker would seek.

So many health care professionals(not OT dipshits who read the internet) are suggesting it now. Just in my social circle, 2 Nurses, an NP, a PA, and my primary care doc are all in favor of 'maintenance doses' of glp-1 for the long term after losing the desired weight at a higher dose.

any1 that truly understands how they work and all the studies on them will of course recommend microdoses of them. the health benefits are work a small weekly or 2x weekly shot(half life is ~4 days so 2x weekly with split dose is better)

One would think with the rush to make America healthy again, coupled with the rush to slash wasteful spending, that someone in the federal government would attack sugar subsidies and their $4 billion annual expenditure.

But those Florida/Lousiana dems and pubs get stuck on that teat a bit too much.

I have a theory.

All that we need to do is eat more compounds or ingest supplements that have chemicals related to GLP-1's. So if anyone can find a plant or combination of foods that will make you body produce a peptide similar to the hormone glucagon-like peptide-1 that will save you from having to buy the shots.

Man, if someone can make sugar cravings disappear, that would be awesome. I have lost over 40 pounds over the last year by changing my diet and regular exercise, but that craving for something sweet after dinner just never goes away. It's like a smoker addicted to cigarettes and it takes years to get where it's not even an afterthought. Sugar can be a flavor enhancer in certain foods and because those foods have sugars, it just reinforces the body's cravings.
