You could pull your air box and wipe out the throttle body.

Flex it open and spray the shite out of seafood in there and crank it up.

Could be a lot of things other than dirty fuel injectors, MAF sensor, IAT sensor, fuel filter, etc. Most fuel injector/system cleaners don't do a whole lot except put deposits on spark plugs. You'd have to continually dose full tanks of gas for several fill-ups before seeing any benefit and if you buy cheap gas from Walmart and RaceTrac then you then you'll be back to where you started in a few months anyway. The only good fuel injector cleaners are PEA-based detergents...what Chevron calls Techron in its gasoline. Seafoam, Lucas, MMO, Berryman...none have PEA and are basically a waste of money outside of small engine use.

The only one I am aware of that has PEA is Gumout's Multi-System Tuneup treatment. You can add it to the oil or gas.

That said, your issue is more likely related to something that Clames mentioned, such as a MAF sensor, IAT, bad fuel pump, etc. I've had bad ignition coils cause the same issue, same with bad rotor in a distro.. If it's a 96+ vehicle, get it scanned to see what pops on a OBD2 reader.

Fuel injectors are designed to be self cleaning, helped along with additives in good quality gasoline LINK. As others have stated, it’s another issue.

No, but had to replace the fuel injector control module last week.

OEM part or aftermarket?

Yep, I use Chevron Techron complete fuel system cleaner good for up to 20 gallons of gas. Probably should consider only running top tier labeled gas in your truck, has more detergents and cleaners, especially with ethanol added to gasoline.

Top tier gas

A lot of modern vehicles don't even have an easily replaceable fuel filter like the old days. Filter now is a sock like element on the pick up tube and it's in the fuel tank along with the sending unit for your fuel quantity. Why they do like this nowadays I do not know.

No. Gas has enough detergents in it it's completely unnecessary.

And I say that as someone who has blended millions of dollars worth of Chevron and Chevron-based fuel injector cleaners.

The gas goes through a filter at the gas station pump and the newer gas tanks don't rust

Disconnect battery to reset.
If you have any codes then stop and have them read for free at an auto parts store.

Those would be my first steps. If you have codes get a print out and start from there.

Good luck

I use Seafoam once a year, before changing plugs.

Those filters don't filter out the fine crud and the gasoline itself can have plenty of dissolved crud that builds up into varnish and gum deposits over time.

Honest question, you pay to fill your tires with nitrogen don’t you?

Gas pumps have a 10 micron filter and diesel 30 microns

Are you saying a car fuel filter would catch that but not the gas pump filter
