I only throw them away if they are unusable.... granted I don't own many pairs of shoes. Every shoe has a purchase and if not I chunk it.

I'd keep them forever if I could but every now and then my wife throws them out. I usually don't notice but if it weren't for her I'd still have shoes from decades ago.

I usually keep a couple. Always have a pair behind my backseat. Never know when I could need to throw em on when in work attire. Not changing a flat in loafers

I have more shoes for yardwork than I have for real work.

I give them a proper death....

Leave them in the closet until the dogs sneak into there one day and chew the shite out of them

I only have three pair.

My dress/church shoes, my regular tennis shoes, and my yard work tennis shoes.

When my regular tennis shoes start to get old and are replaced, they become the yard work shoes and the old yard work shoes get tossed.

No man needs more than three pairs of shoes and a pair of mud boots at any given time.

Don’t have any, don’t do it.

When I no longer want the shoes anymore I donate them to goodwill

I don't buy sneakers very often. I have maybe 3 pairs of sneakers.

I use an old pair of Adidas hybrid golf shoes for lawn work. Get better grip in them, plus they're more comfortable than my sneakers.

I keep one pair for yard work and one for exercise. I throw the old yard shoes away when the ones I wear in public get demoted. I don't really wear tennis shoes that often though so I can't remember the last time I've had more than 2 pair.

I bought some cheap ones from Target a few years ago because I lost all my old ones in the great flood. They are not comfortable and my feet are killing me by the time I'm done. I wish I had bought some better ones but it's hard to spend money on shoes you're going to destroy.

The cycle of shoes goes like this:

new shoes to gym shoes, gym shoes to yard shoes, yard shoes to garbage can.

Yes, but save a pair or two for grass cutting and water shoes on float trips.

I have several pairs that I keep only because I can't throw them away considering how much I spent on them.
