Drew a brown bear tag on Frazer Lake in Kodiak, Alaska last spring. 12 days. We didn't get a bear, weather was pretty shite, but we trapped 9 beaver and caught a frick ton of trout.
Ate the beaver and cleaned the furs. They are actually quite delicious, taste and cooks just like beef. Had some in the freezer I braised it up just a couple weeks ago. Real good. 8.5/10 would eat again.
The castor glands are real strong though, had a couple of people who couldn't handle it. Wash it out real good and it's not so bad. Skulls clean up real good too looks sweet on my shelf.
