I am talking about advanced AI, nano-technology, etc that can change everything about how we interact with the universe. With nano advancements possibly making it possible to cheat death.

It is like we know it is on the way, and we know we might be dead just before it happens.

I do. Imagine what shite hasn’t been made known to the general public? shite I just read an article that details mind reading technology that can print your thoughts. Combine that with AI and that’s gonna be a spicy meatball in the future.

I for one welcome our new AI overlords.

I already think technology has taken us over. Look at how distracted with tech we are and how much more dumb our general population has become.

Point taken, but the Ancient Egyptians weren’t living in a time just before nano robots could repair their organs, as just one example.

That's true to an extent, but I feel like we are living at the base of an extremely sharp curve upwards. Will we survive the curve? Who knows. Great Filter and all that bullshite.

If the population we have on earth live too long we will have ridiculous overpopulation. A very select few will keep any technology that will keep us alive forever under wraps for themselves. Either that or they will start a pandemic or world war to reduce the population to a manageable size before keeping those select few left alive forever.

We have achieved a level of instant gratification to the point we are no longer grateful for anything. This mindset almost makes the next great tech advance “meh” because we now expect it.

But they had alien technology that could move huge stones around.

We are in a race between species-changing technology and absolute financial and societal collapse. Which will happen first? I do not know.
