Seems to give them a great texture. Put a screw through a shoe polish brush.

For a long time everyone has said they are to slippery, etc (new) balls,college and pro ,and they have to do all this work to make them tolerable to play with . WHY THE HELL don't they change the manufacturing process and make better balls

I used to do all sorts of shite to break them in, but so stopped adding product to the ball. Trying to keep these as light as possible. Only river mud now…and beating the shite out of them.

That’s the mud I use. I break in balls better than that though. Those are QB balls. I beat mine with big file, and a wooden bat. Probably illegal for game use. Kickers need to flatten the seams. They’re kicking right on that back seam, but all need to be flattened to contact the bladder better.
