Kids don’t know any better. It’s the parents that allow them to get out the house and bug the neighbors that is the problem!

When I was younger I would answer the door when our neighbors kid showed up and she would just walk in without saying a word.

Kids show up at our house all of the time. We do have a kid though.
If the back door is unlocked they just walk right in. Sometimes they ask my wife what's for dinner

If you don’t have kids they want to play with, then yeah, it’s weird. Otherwise, it’s not that weird. Set boundaries.

I used to go knock on my neighbors door and ask if my buddy could come out and play. They used to do the same to my house. Not weird at all, just be respectful. Most of the time the answer was after he gets done cleaning his room lol

I’m five States away from my primary residence right now so I guess it’d really be weird if she sat down on my front porch furniture and flicked her bean.

I used to play with the next door neighbor's granddaughter all the time when I was growing up, but it was nothing to go and visit once in a while even if the granddaughter wasn't there. I'd go over, watch Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy or some shite like that in the afternoon with them and have a snack, then I'd head home. They were the next door neighbors, not fricking strangers.
If Brandy was over there, though, they couldn't get rid of me.

Was I was a teenager, I had a next door neighbor boy that I would hang out with. The other neighbor was Hawthorne’s daughter. We played hopscotch on the sidewalk and played Axel F on a boom box outside. Would go by the neighbors like it was an open house. Fun times in early eighties.
