I think the modest answer is to say we don't know. Humans are so arrogant and yet so ignorant. We've forgotten much more history than we've retained.

Not to sidetrack, but wouldn’t asking that question undermine one of the main tenets that God possesses omniscience and knows all events past, present and future and would therefore be unable to “mess up “?
Exactly, but I’ve always had a healthy curiosity about this. Omniscience by definition would mean that original creation and its ultimate failure were known by God beforehand, and he allowed it to happen that way anyway. So, like every negative aspect of mankind’s existence, it was very intentional.
This line of thought leads me to the conclusion that it was all done to create the need for Christ the Redeemer. In my mind, His omniscience also precludes any possibility for free will in man.

Sounds like you need to go to church to find the answers you’re seeking. I recommend it.
Unrelated to your post, I personally think that there was a sect of humans who were considered giants, something similar to how Amazon women was actually a thing. I think to how the Egyptians have some wooden structures representing their rulers and them being so tall. The giants could have had tails to support them for all we know. I mean we have a tailbone for what? Anyway, I digress.
I’m glad this thread was able to spur some conversation and genuine thoughts.

Earth has had a lot of secrets that we don’t know about yet

Go to Walmart and your can see giant humans rolling around today
Between the fats in their scooters, entire families standing in the middle of the aisle, and the curbside pickup carts everywhere, Wal Mart is becoming impossible to navigate.

Do you think it would be easier if you were a giant?

Why’d he die again?
He didnt. He ascended into Heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty….
But He died for me. A created being needing propitiation for my sin against a Holy God.
Why? Because of His Love for us
quote:
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—Ephesians 2:4-5
All this assuming “again” meaning a second time. My bad. See Im imperfect in need of Him
He loves you!

No. There's i haven't seen any legit evidence to make me think there were. "We don't know what might have existed" isn't evidence.

Being uninformed is your first problem

A person posts a simple explanation for Christ and salvation. Within 30 minutes, three downvotes and zero upvotes on a Southern message board.
But

But it wouldn't look vaguely like us at all, then.
This is the skeleton of the largest bipedal mammal that we've found.
You're really reaching to throw that up there. Bears don't look like elephants, which don't look like hippos, which don't look like most dinosaur types, and none of them look like great apes.
Take the same micro structure that can support that weight, and apply it to a purely bipedal body macro structure. Neither one of us knows what you would get, and neither did the "Well ackchually" pseudo scientist who came up with the original math you quoted.

Hey my man, I have a cat I would like to sell you…he has special powers that only I can see, but if you buy him, I’ll allow you to see his magic over time.
Only $8000 for this magic cat, but only because I like you.

When I was a kid in Bible study I formed a personal opinion that the Bible stories were true in some places, but were in large part likely allegories to explain certain moral points. Over the decades, however, much of the Bible stories that sound outrageous (Jericho, for example) and other ancient tales (Troy, some of Homer, etc.) have been validated. So, yeah, I do believe a man named David killed a giant named Goliath.
So instead of becoming wise as you’ve aged, you’ve become superstitious…understood

“ David essentially brought a gun to a knife fight”
While this is true, people relied on their armor to protect them from projectiles. Until the battle of Agincourt in 1415 there were not arrows that could penetrate armor, and only the longbow could and only people who trained daily from the age of four could shoot a longbow to penetrate armor. It wasn’t until the crossbow that the common soldier could penetrate armor.
We know the armor was good then because when David was given the Kings armor he could barely walk, and my guess is Goliath had some really nice armor.
Goliath was cocky enough to leave a rock size hole in his headgear which requires a perfect shot.

I would never hate, especially a free thinking nonconformist, who probably uses big words in arguments type of person like yourself
