Do you think achieving a post-racial society is possible in our lifetimes?

If so, or even if not; how long do you estimate it would take to get there? What does that path look like?
I hold the opinion that race relations were doing pretty well within my generation to the point where many facets of our nation looked to already be in a post-racial state, but recent social issues have seemingly driven a new wedge, or rather highlighted old wedges; and I’m not sure what the path towards newfound unity looks like.
I still think we are closer than it appears from sensationalist sources when interacting with people in my day to day life instead of via a computer screen, but I’m curious what the general sentiments are on this topic.

We'll achieve that as soon as politicians quit using it to cash in on votes.

No and you know why

500 years from now there will still be race pimps and people crying racism.

No, it isn't likely.
And really the only thing that will achieve this is some type of mass, world ending event.

Yes
But in order for that to happen everyone needs to keep reproducing mixed babies so there isn’t any more black/white crap
Problem solved

Maybe in the mythical future where you don't give certain races things based on race a la affirmative action.
Good luck with ever trying to work towards that you fascist racist.

Not as long as minorities are here. They will always have democrats to keep things racially motivated.

You're right. Anyone that's 40+ recognizes the strides made since their parents and grandparents were young to when we grew up. To pretend that we, growing up in the 70's and 80's were living in the 40's is absurd. It's even more absurd to pretend that 2020 America is then as well.

It's set us back 50 years. I can;t recall a time in my life where things have felt this strained along racial lines. I don't see this within my own circle and own life. People still seem to be interacting normally...but there is a palpable tension that can be felt. Maybe it's just strangers not really knowing who has gone crazy and who hasn't, but things feel strained and that's heartbreaking.
But as a father of two young sons, 18 and 13, I'm less optimistic about their futures because of this than I was a year ago. Given the rhetoric being spewed, they are now "the enemy" for nothing other than their immutable characteristics.

Unless the media changes I don't think so

depends on who is eliminated and exterminated

Too much money involved and power to be gained.

We pretty much were living on a post-racial society until this whole bullshite “woke” leftist movement started up.

As long as the professional Left maintains a multi-billion dollar Race Grievance Industry that relies on racial agitprop, reputation destruction and violent street theatre to maintain political control, the answer is NO.

Its more annoying because this go around it isn't real.
80 years ago, I can understand.
What I cant understand now are the cries of oppression and underrepresentation, when for the past 40 years there have been special programs (taken advantage of), the album charts and top singles, sports, cinema and political focus.
2020 Its bullshite.

No.
Racial grievance is a billion dollar industry.
Powerful people don't WANT racism to go away.

The strain is media driven. The "riots" are mostly by white ANTIFA types. Black support for "defund the police" was greatly overstated.
I live in a town that is 80% black and there has not been one hint of BLM activism except by a local loudmouth who moved out of town a year ago (and no one local "likes" her race baiting posts).\
Things would be greatly improved if the white do gooders would disengage.
