My tip is always proportional to my satisfaction with the service...nothing else influences it.

People who say this are generally shitty tippers.

You seem upset.

You probably can’t afford the food if the waiters are making minimum wage @ a full service restaurant.

Not to mention the kitchen staff, managers, etc.

Time for you to get out of your feelings about it.

Tip in a Bar is the Norm no matter who’s serving, Coach.

My barber owns his place. When it cost $15 to get my haircut, if I gave him a $20 I would get the $5 back and not tip. I seen some people tip him some didn't. When he went up to $18, I just give him a $20 and don't worry about the change.

But I don't think it's a "must do" if it's the owner. You are giving them business just by going there.

I tip my hairdresser every time I she does my hair. She’s the owner of the salon but she still earns extra because she’s just that good and she’s very personable.

Sure you can. Most restaurants go bust.

That said, one table's tip doesn't make a difference either way to the owner. If I like the service (and I should given that the owner is setting the standard) then I'll be back and that is what counts. The owner isn't working for tips, he/she is working for repeat business.

I do because I find she works harder for me if she’s the proprietor of the operation rather than slumming it and having to give the tips to her pimp.

At certain bars. I don’t. They’ve told me they don’t want tips.

If someone waits on me and does a good job I give them a tip. Pretty simple concept
