if you are served, you tip.

I’m convinced the average tipping percentage of the entire OT is about 12%.

I asked the rabbi performing my son’s circumcision what he charged. He says, “Not much, I just keep the tips.”

Do you still tip if the owner is your server?
Can't use the "they make less than minimum wage" bullshite
Don't you still get paid if it rolls down your chin rather than your throat when they specifically instructed you to swallow? I should think so, you put your 8 in.

An individual who owns his or her hair salon and is the sole operator - Then tipping makes no sense.
But if an owner is getting his hands dirty and doing the work then chances are they’re not killing it so tips are still appreciated.

Yes because tips pay the bus boys and kitchen too.

When it cost $15 to get my haircut, if I gave him a $20 I would get the $5 back and not tip. I seen some people tip him some didn't. When he went up to $18, I just give him a $20 and don't worry about the change.
Haircuts are different than take out food service. My haircut is something I live with everyday. I probably eat at the same restaurant no more than twice a year. I tip 20-25% for restaurants. But my barber gets a 50% tip. I need my hair looking correct.

What does a “correct” haircut look like?
Posted on 10/15/18 at 10:19 pm to LSU6262
If the owner serves me it's cause we know each other so no.

I tip but toss it on the floor because restaurant owners are beneath me.

My hair is complicated.
It’s very thick (not an Afro) even though I am almost 50. Imagine the thickest bush in your yard. Not anyone could trim it correctly and make it even.
I have lived in multiple states. My least favorite chore is finding someone with skill to cut my hair correctly. They have to cut it and then use thinning shears to shape it underneath and then cut it again.
It’s not as easy as going to any barbershop or even an expensive salon. Paying more does not guarantee success.
Most of my friends are balding severely or have thin hair. Many days I wish I were one of them.

Before or after tax?

Then ditch the barber and get yourself a razor. I did, and never looked back.

People who say this are generally shitty tippers.
People who say this are generally shitty waiters.

What is with this board and tipping? Whoever provides the service gets the tip.

Do you just shave it all the way down or leave a bit like "The Transporter" (JS).
