Early.
Country people come early, stay late and talk loud.

I'm usually 10-15 minutes early. Habit from being in the Army.
I once was trying to sell an old camper I had for $1000 and this guy at my work wanted it. He said he would be at my house for 7 am the next day. Dude didn't fricking show up until 2 pm. Every time I called his arse, straight to voicemail. He then had the nerve to try to jew me down to $800. Told him if he would have showed up closer to 7am, I would have.

I fired 4 employees last week on the same day for consistently being late! All they would say was “but I’m here!”

Early - Now I'm always 10-15 early but, when I was a young adult I was chronically late for everything. It was definitely a combination of ADHD and plain rebellion against my controlling Mom who would drop us off early for school and practices - so early that we were all alone waiting for the buildings to open up every time. I finally learned how ticked off it made people for me to be late and changed my ways. I honestly didn't know how mad it made people until I had a boss that chewed me out about it. I was oblivious to it until then. It wasn't on purpose it was all poor planning on my part and the inner child in me being rebellious. I think we all need to not be so polite and really tell friends and people at work how offensive it is to be late. It is rude and inconsiderate of other people's time. I know that now and late people especially on work calls/conference calls really tick me off.

I abhor being late or waiting on people
Who are late. It’s rude and basically says that their time is more valuable than mine.

ever occur that you were dropped off early/picked up late because maybe mom had other kids to chauffeur, a job, other appointments (especially with Jody,) and she had to time things in order to get everything done?

Personal arrangements, always early.
When I had a work schedule on time meant on time and not a minute sooner. If I was scheduled for 9AM, I walked in the door at 9AM. Work got no free time from me.

I despise late people. For those who are consistently late, why are you? These types seem to not understand how repulsive they are to the rest of society.
I am always trying to be right on time or just a little bit late. I work long unpredictable hours so take that extra time I stay after work and apply it to the few minutes I run behind.

Work: I am always 10-15 minutes late; I don’t leave at 5, either. Meetings: 5-10 minutes early. I also recently decided to cap my week at 45 hours. No raises this year because someone in the C-Suite fricked up, tons of new duties dropped on me with no promotion or title change. Although I abhor the term, if you quiet promote me without any of the above, I will react accordingly. Thanks for the new bullet points on my resume, though.
Personal: On time, unless the person I’m meeting is habitually late.

I’m late. Always a few minutes late

If you aren't early, you are late

Considering I don't have a set start time I'm on time every time.

Early = On Time

Late = Don’t Bother

If I'm not 10 minutes early I consider myself late

Depends if you're hourly or salary. I'm hourly, and have to clock in before 2315 hours. If i clock in at 2300, payroll is bitching about OT. 2301 is ok. Total horse shite
