I had to shave my chest one time for an EKG test, and I (nor my wife) liked the way my nipples looked like with a shaved chest. It took at least a month for the hair to grow back to an acceptable length.

I have enough chest hair that I look like a 70's porn star. Got the bright idea to trim it several years ago and it itched like a mofo afterwards. So I kinda had to shave it and was surprised at how much cooler it was in the heat of summer. So I've shaved my chest hair since then and eventually started doing the same to the twig and berries. My woman seemed more open to giving me head without all the pubic hair so thats what I call a win.

I'm not a hairy dude, but I do shave off some long hairs that grow around my titty nipples.
