Chest and belly hair… reason I ask I’m about to head to the beach. I never shave but might this time. Google says it’s good for body odor fwiw.

I got into bodybuilding for a time many year’s ago and shaved. I saw no effect on stank, though.

Pretty standard.

I waxed before a vacation once. Three days latter my back looked like I had chicken pox.

The business told me to exfoliate for a week before the waxing. I just washed myself. I made a mistake.

With waxing you won't see hair for a couple weeks or more. With shaving it will be back after a few days.

The good thing is that you are conscious about appearance and take pride in your looks. Whatever you choose will be fine, just know that if you wax you need to prep first.

I'm not hairy, but having your back waxed (after the finished process, because it can suck) feels great afterward when you throw on a shirt.

I shave my face and since my health crash my chest because the glue on the tape and monitor leads the ambulance crews use essentially waxes in spots.

I usually wait until I get the shot of morphine or dilaudid and as soon as that kicks in start peeling off the ambulance stuff. It still hurts like hell though. (the last time I was too sick to peel off for a couple of days. Result was 3 weeks till the glue was all gone from my skin)

Ambulance has to use real adhesive due to the nature of emergency stuff though. Stuff has to stick, lives literally depend on it no matter how greasy, oily, bloody, wet, etc..

It’s a personal preference. Do whatever you want, I really don’t think odor is going to change. And if you have that bad of an odor problem you should probably consult a doctor rather than a waxer.

I’ve found that a shave/wax will enhance the 4-pack or 6-pack if you have one.

How soon are you going to the beach?

I’d wait a few days at least if you went with waxing before beaching.

And I’d for sure wax. You don’t want stubble during your beach vacay.

My back is hairy as hell take an antihistamine before you wax but there is a thing where they use like sugar called sugaring skin didn’t react like wax. But if you are going on vacation do it week before leaving. Or just have some one shave your back.

Wife waxed my back last year and the same thing happened to me. You’re not supposed to sweat for 24-48 hours afterwards which is impossible.

Don’t change any hygiene routines on your body right before you are about to expose your body to the public

I’ve heard of male swimmers doing this to help reduce drag, so they can shave a fraction of a second off of their lap time. I think it’s mostly in the context of Olympic athletes trying to win a gold medal though.

Usually when I hear about waxing or shaving body hair, it is related to women.
