Do you see gouging coming in the medical field?

None of that seems all that out of the ordinary and even so that’s not gouging.

But do be prepared for higher charges in the near term for a lot of medical services

Hard to say in these circumstances. I'm certainly not defending the medical industry, but plenty of people 'feel fine' and have major shite wrong with them.

He can say no. Rehab is where a lot of people can save money. He knows all the routines by now, and I'm sure there are loads of instructions on the internet.

Pretty sure it doesn't operate like mattress or care sales. I really can't see them lying about him having an arrythmia.

It seems many people have no clue how medical billing works. At the beginning of each fiscal year, every doctor, clinic, hospital, etc. sign a contract with each insurance provider. In that contract are the negotiated rates the insurance Company will pay.

So, your doctor can charge you $100,000 for a 5 minute visit, but what the insurance will allow is based in the code submitted. Let’s say that code says the visit is $100. If you’re in an 80/20 plan, you’ll pay $20 and they’ll pay $80. If you haven’t met deductible, you’ll pay the total, $100.

As far as rehab, insurance will pay for something like 31 visits per year.

That's putting it nicely. They also have zero idea what the purpose of insurance is or what their insurance plan is

Oh, it's comin', baws. Specifically physician-owned surgical centers and MRI-type facilities. People have been "rubbing dirt on it" for two months that will now need PET scans and an outpatient surgery...book it. And the insurance carriers will let it pass because that will be the defense for the renewal increase you get next year. The house never loses...
