I read an article once and they intervied an IBM VP. He said before he hires an executive he takes him to dinner and watches his habits. If he salts his food before tasting he will probably make hasty decisions.

I bought one of those when we bought the house 10 years ago and can honestly say it's at least 80-90% full.

Salt-Free Tony's for the win.

Every time I cook meat.

I rarely, and I mean rarely, salt my food that is already prepared.

I only salt/hotsauce/tony's before tasting if I've already had that meal before.

Absolutely Not, it’s a sign of trashiness.

Grits and salads for example.

Whatever salt is in the butter I put in my grits is enough for me.

I don't salt my food ever. So many components have salt in them usually that nothing needs any extra.

I can honestly say, without exaggeration, that I can't recall salting any food in my life outside of the prep/cooking phase. A meal that's finished and being served to me? Never.

I don’t salt anything. Does your water have sodium in it? It’s important to know if your water treatment plant uses ion exchange (salt brine) if you are on a sodium restricted diet. Many people don’t realize they are getting it in their drinking water.

I’ll tell the waiter/waitress when ordering off the menu, “Actually more important than the food order itself is that you bring salt to the table immediately! BEFORE bringing out the food.”

There are some things I’ll salt right off the bat because I know they need it:

Scrambled eggs
Chips in the basket at the Mexican restaurant
Brisket that an Auburn fan made

Most everything else I’ll taste it first.
