Do you leave your Christmas lights on all night?

Or turn them off when you go to bed?

I have two of those rotating psychedelic lights shining up on the house. I cut them on when it gets dark, but cut them off when I go to bed around 8:00. Feel weird for only having them on a couple hours.

Do y’all leave yours on all through the night? How much does that affect your light bill?

I generally unplug, but why not get a timer?

Timers bro.

Set it to come on at dusk and then off after however many hours you desire.

Nope. The outside lights are on timers. They go out around 10.

Mine stay on all night. All my outlets that are used for decorations have a dedicated switch inside the foyer closet.

Timer for dusk to after we go to sleep, then they come on again for morning, when we leave for work and school.

We cut them off but only because I have a phobia that the house is going to catch fire while we are asleep.

Haha. I've recently thought the same thing.

I used to do the same as you, but then noticed I was the only one on my block doing it.

Now I switch it off when I leave for work

Mine stay on from the time I hang them, all the way to the first weekend after the 1st. They’re on now.

I have the outside lights plugged into a timer with a sunlight sensor that automatically kicks on at dusk and I have it set to turn off after 8 hours.

LED lights are efficient enough where you shouldn't even notice it on your electric bill.

I leave mine on all night. Don't notice that much of a difference in the electricity bill.
