Don't really know if we ever had an alma mater. I don't recall ever hearing it if we did. But, I do know that our fight song was Jole Blon. It was played loud and proud on Friday nights while the old men in the stands held up their pints of brown liquor, lol. A different time for sure.

Sadly, Oberlin High School doesn't even have a band anymore. Another indication of a nearly dead school and community.

Yes. We sang it after every mass or when we all had to go in the gym for something. Still know it word for word 21 years after graduating.

I remember the band playing it at football games, but I couldn’t hum the tune now.

I wouldn't say we have one, but our fight song is pretty close, and yes I still remember the words.

The fight song is the same music as Notre Dame too, lol.

No. I do remember that during the alma mater we would have a finger raised in the air and halfway through we would switch. Well, on paper it had (switch) command written out so of course the tradition was when it came to that part everyone would scream SWITCH!

There is a school we all love well,
‘tis THOMAS JEFFERSON
Her glories we will always tell,
Our THOMAS JEFFERSON.
On field and campus winning boys
And girls all ready stand for
Dear old THOMAS JEFFERSON
Our Alma Mater Grand
THOMAS JEFFERSON
THOMAS JEFFERSON
Dear old school of mine,
I’ll sing thy praises everywhere,
Dear THOMAS JEFFERSON.

From now to eternity
May your banner ever be
High above the reeeeeest

(Drums)

Through our laughter and our tears
Through our triumph and our fears
Be our guide through future years
