I always thought it was the character they had to tacitly acknowledge how fat their food can make you if you eat too much of it, thus sort of normalizing unhealthy living as ok

I think the name is spelled Grimmis, but not a good mascot if he’s a taste bud named after an unpleasant facial expression.
I always thought Grimmis had something to do with the “milk” shakes at McD’s.
