I would still like it. They can have insanely high taxes, crime, etc. It's still a cool city that beats living in bum frick new York in a nice town like Rochester or something.

Things were pretty bleak in NYC in the 1970s. Then people started investing in the area. Eventually a certain high profile real estate mogul spent about $100 million redeveloping the area around Grand Central. The area cleaned up very quickly. Crack heads and hookers were replaced by the 1980s version of hipsters.
They also had a mayor that was a bulldog when it came to crime take office, and their major financial industries never left.
In 20 years, NYC turned around entirely. They did because they had the money, the power, and the drive to do so. New Orleans doesn't have any of that.

meh, that really doesn't concern me....im worried about crime, taxes, insurance, schools, roads, S&WB, and just cleaning up City Hall in general.
Cantrell had her chance, shes a puppet....she should be more worried about paying her income taxes from 3 years ago before she loses her house....

Charbonnet is going to have to go further left to stave off Cantrell. The affordable housing crap is just the start. You can admit that it's a shite sandwhich, you don't have to pretend to be excited about another anti business black democrat.
