The Memphis metro is home to more Fortune 500 companies than the entire state of Louisiana. It's around the same size as the New Orleans metro.
New Orleans has lost tens of thousands of white collar jobs to Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta over the past 35 years.
My biggest complaint is the loss of jobs and opportunity. Fix that and everything else will fall in line quickly.
