Yes. A 65 year old guy I work with. He grew up in the same home, parents died and he now owns it. Never married, no kids and has never been out of the state of Louisiana. He also bought a 1985 Camaro brand new, drove it back home and hasn't driven it since. Starts it once a day, has the oil changed at his place and manually backs it out to wash it once a week. Very odd fellow.

One of my brothers bought the house we grew up in from my parents.

He's lived there his entire 43 years on this earth.

So he never moved away for college or work, even for a short time?

Grew up in an extremely rundown house in a decent area where the land and house were left to me so as soon as I was able to build I tore it down and rebuilt on the exact same spot so my address never changed my entire life. Even put my master bedroom where my childhood room sat.

No, she moved away for college and never moved back. Her parents are still there and everything about the house is the same as when she grew up there.

Our family had the same place from 1978 until 2014. I was born there and stayed until our oldest son was 14 years old. It was and still is a great place with a view of lake degray but it's gotten too populated and touristy for my liking. Neighbors are a pain in the arse and I value my privacy more than being close to convince.

We moved to a town with more cows than people and couldn't be happier. We can do anything we want at this location. My closest neighbors two story house looks like a postage stamp on the horizon.

I own the house my parents built. It's vacant and needs some updates but it's still a house.

My dad still lives in the house that I grew up in. He built it in 82 when I was a baby. The area is still very much desirable but I'll admit that it's somewhat of an anomaly in baton rouge

No.

He's stayed in our home town all this time.

No what once was a poultry farm. Now it’s just a house on acreage I might live in 2-3 months out of the year. I usually get to Canada at the end of August and don’t leave until Octoberish, then various parts of the country until February. Then the wife and I split time between my place in Minnesota and her place in madisonville.

Sounds very dysfunctional. Yall are swingers?

I'm on 15 places that I've considered my address.

4th-12th grade being the longest stint.

6 years (almost) at my current address that will hopefully be the longest in the end.

Well, not her entire life but my mom has been the same house in Old Goodwood since 1959. 66 years. Bought it for $14k.

Wife’s grandfather lived in the same house his entire life. His parents built it in late 1890’s. He was born in it. Worked on the farm his entire life. When he got married it was added on to and he and my wife’s grandmother lived there with his parents. Almost 90 years in the same place.

My Uncle lived with my Grandparents in the same house in Norco for his whole life. He was a high school teacher and football coach.

He never married but did have a long term girlfriend of more than 50 years.

I don’t know if this would disqualify him, but he did go away to college in AZ for four years and 2 years in Germany in the Army after WWII.

I lived in my home to take care of my mom. I’ve been in this house 32 years, that I designed. Huge sandstone foundation. Triple floor beams, double 4” diameter steel poles supports. On top of a hill, but larger hill behind me for tornado buffer
