“Open marriage” tweener language is as silly as all the LGBTQ flavors and confluence pronouns.

No.... but my company has a marriage-family counseling division and I always swap stories with the director of said division. She says she's lost count of the couples that came to her because they opened their marriage in an effort to save and low and behold that did not work out

I had a neighbor years ago I became friends with who were swingers. Sent us a couple hints and feelers, but we politely were not interested and started distancing ourselves.
He mentioned on multiple occasions, around me and other neighbors, referencing his transgressions as being more trusting and finding a higher level of commitment and open mindedness like he was trying to prove he was more educated and wise than others because he let his wife bang other dudes.
Several years later I heard they got divorced, she’s a drug addict and can’t hold a job, and he committed suicide at some point.
Outside of that, I’ve known two men that were married with nice, church going families but were closet, flaming homos. Their wife stayed with them until the kids were out of college then went separate ways. After divorcing both men became openly gay publicly and completely changed their lifestyles to the other extreme.

One of my oldest friends bragged about how he and his wife had an open marriage. I told him that was going to mean that she is getting some on the side and he is not. Divorced within 5 years and I think she left him for her side piece.

I've known two who were in open relationships. They were good friends with one another and went both ways.
One has been married to the same guy for decades, he liked to watch sometimes and participate at other times (no idea how watching some other guy rail your wife gets you hard, but whatever). They are still together because they are both on that same page and have remained there.
The other has been through multiple husbands, not sure if they knew they were in an open marriage or not. She seems to have found Jesus with her latest husband and finally settled down.
Both were smoking hot and active on some adult site until one of their kids' friends stumbled on it.
