I'm 55 and for years, I've gone to my buddy's house and beat his kids at Madden. No big deal.

My nephew used to come work in the summers for us in New Orleans,....he was going to school at Mississippi College and played football there from 200-2004. He brought Madden with him.....he was 18, I was 35......it was our afternoon ritual to have a couple cold ones and play a game. After that game, we'd hit the weights.....well, he would, and I'd drink beer and spot him.

He has a Masters now, and is a VP for a materials company in Madison, Ms. I'd say we weren't affected by the Madden time....

Depends on definition of regular

It's been nearly 4 months since I last played any kind of video game

But if you want to unwind after a long day and play games that's fine

I think the gaming addicts are losers though

you sound like a piece of shite that would go through a garbage bag that someone left on your lawn, find their name, find their facebook, and call their work to get them to come pick it up.

I only play when I'm alone or my wife is watching something (I have the switch so I can hang out with her and play video games) or on a long phone call.

or if I have a weekend I need to relax and decompress, but those are usually after a few straight weeks of doing everything for everyone and i'm just burned out

I play Zelda, Mario type games. I like things that tickle my brain a bit. I don't like playing with people online, and I don't like shooters because they (at least to me) lack charm.

but I just found out I will be playing a lot less.

He wastes a lot of time playing video games. You waste a lot of time talking to strangers on an internet message board.

Explain the difference.

So your hobby is on company time, and someone that plays video games hobby is on personal time when they have nothing else to do. Which seems worse?

As long as they don't camp in first person shooters.

No respect for campers.

Do you frequently play board games, read books that are strictly for entertainment purposes (no learning for the most part), play pool, ping pong, etc?

If yes, quit you're bitching.

I don't play video games fwiw.

I played a lot until I got a full time job. By the time I stare at a computer screen for 8 hours a day, my desire is kind of shot
