I can pick up nearly any instrument and play by ear. Not anything terribly complex- but can pick out the basics of just about any tune quickly. Also have a knack for alternative lyrics for anything- very handy to amuse children with.

Can't draw or paint worth a damn, though.

You can't spell fart without "art"

I used to be a fairly decent photographer. Had a couple of gallery shows once upon a time. One of my prints in said show was even stolen. I mean it's one thing to have someone buy your artwork. Having someone like it enough to steal it is something else all together.

I had art and painting lessons from 1st grade until I graduated high school. I've sold paintings. I'm very creative and now that I'm retired, I have a lot of projects that keep me busy. I work with all kinds of materials.

I wish I could play piano. Maybe I will try again now that I’m retired.

I’ve learned to draw decently (can copy things) as an adult, and fairly proficient on guitar/bass. Neither came easy, I have a pretty good ear for music but that may be the only thing that I would consider naturally artistic about myself.

Point is, sometimes you have to work to unlock “abilities” - from the outside I may look like an artistic person but in reality there have been a ton of reps to get to that point and still requires a ton of practice. I consider my ability to learn my best skill.

I can draw a “twig and berries” on a stop sign with a rattle can in less than 2 seconds.

Well you should. The way you set the macaroni on the back leg ankle really says a lot about this masterpiece, and you as the artist. Really speaks to me.

Please link the auction, if/when you decide to put it up. Though I do understand if you'll decide to hold on to it as a retirement or offspring inheritance piece, to capture that artist death mega bump.

If I made my way there would you rent me a room for a month? I will make up for our missed meal or crab, sorry my sister was sick on my mom's cruise. If not I understand, maybe you can point me in the right direction for a place to stay and a good hiking guide to hire, I don't want to mess with Alaska without someone knowledgeable.

Right now no room, but when the girls go to college next year might have some space..
