IDK, I loved being married.

I do as well. I actually enjoy spending time with my wife.

You just have to educate them that backstories are rarely necessary, and things improve.

We do ours weekly, mostly. Sometimes a few times a week. I review her ability to get into a pretzel shape while testing my hip thrust endurance. So far she’s passing the review with flying colors.

Really love the work you've been doing on laundry and dishes. We're going to create a new division for those under a subsidiary, which you will head up as CEO.

Given your new responsibilities we will be shifting to an independent contractor model for sex and backrubs. This will free up your time to focus on your new division and likely produce cost savings, which we can then reinvest into R&D for our fishing and hunting sectors.

Yep, inform the wife you are not cutting pay, but bringing on a part time assistant to help.

You mean the annual argument with your wife where she lists all the things you need to do and/or do more of (or more often) that ends with you telling her to stop being a bitch? That good idea?

My sarcasm would interfere and my wife would be pissed and frustrated. She knows better.

If my wife suggested this my response would be “let me circle back around to dat arse and create some synergy”

And she would reply “let’s table that for now and review it again in 3 months”

The example in the video just seems really forced. If it works for them, cool

Of course it’s forced this whole thing is for attention. I wouldn’t be surprised if they really don’t even do this every year.

Like you said. Most healthy couples check in with each other regularly and not in a formal way like this.

The delivery and sterile nature of the meeting is repulsive. But having a mission statement for yourself is incredible! Having one with your wife, and with your family together as a whole is probably a really good idea.

Today we are bombarded with ideas of what we should be, could be, and want to be. If you do not declare your ideals for yourself, you will adopt someone else’s.
