Do you have a recliner in your living room?

Apparently, these are faux pas or "trashy" these days. Why is it that comfort is looked down on?

I recently gave mine away to someone that is having surgery because I rarely used it
Main reason I rarely used it is because I knew I would fall asleep almost immediately if I got in it

I have a rocking chair that I sit in when I knit sweaters

In our daily living room, yes. In a formal den or living room, it is considered trashy.

Damn right I do. There's not much better feeling than collapsing into it after a long day outside or a long night of booze. So good.

Our interior decorator said no.

No way in hell my wife would allow a recliner in our house.

I wanted to get rid of the recliner for a long time. Then we rearranged the furniture and it became My Chair and you can pry this baby out of my cold dead hands.
I do plan to eventually replace it with a nicer chair that has reclining abilities.

Then it’s her house.

I don't because we have this huge sectional sofa that takes up a ton of room. I have one in the front room that we rarely use.

Slept off many a rough night in a recliner. I have two.

Nothing is more comfortable than sitting in front of a fire in leather recliner on a cold day sipping on a little whiskey and watching some football.

I do find them trashy and no I don’t have one.

My recliner is the best place to pleasure myself. I lay back comfortably— but not too far!—prop my feet up, and watch youporn on my phone perched neatly on the armrest. The only issue is my wife gets annoyed when she’s trying to watch tv.

Yep. It's from West Elm though, so it isn't your standard bulky, "Lazy Boy" recliner.
