A recliner is one of the most functional pieces of furniture that I can think of. One of the small little fancy couches that you can't even lay down on isn't functional.

Exactly

This is one of those function v. aesthetic arguments, but the aesthetic issue is actually more ground in class perception. It's pretty fascinating.

Nothing is more functional than a recliner.

My home isn't to impress you. My home is to impress me.

Hell no I don't have one. Where else would I put my bean bags and futon?

Yep. It’s the most comfortable spot.

Sure do but my son 3 yo has claimed it, but it is old so he can have it. However he does have to kick the dog out sometimes as she claimed it too.

People still have 2 living rooms? Rip that wall down and open that house up.

Yes. Best $400 I ever spent. It's a sleep-inducing machine.

Pretty common in older homes. Ours has two.

Exactly!

I do have one in my home office. It's the dogs chair. Sits next to the window and at the perfect height for him to watch from so he loves it. A couple weeks ago I found one that has seat warmers built in that I think he'd like better. Not great looking but it'll be hidden in the office, lol.

I do like that West Elm one posted earlier. Not a bad price either.
