I don't care what people spend their money on but sometimes it blows my mind how they can afford it. I had a guy interview for a $10.00 hr job and he showed up driving a leased 7 series BMW with a several thousand dollar set of rims and tires on it. I also had a guy interview for a $16.00 hr job driving a F-250 with a $900 a month note.

Does he have a wife and kids...? If not, screw it....Especially if he's young...

Before I got married and did the kid thing.. I had a house but I also had 2 boats, and plenty of toys... It's great to be young and irresponsible..

I started making decent money about three years out of college. I spent it like it was going out of style. Five years later , I've learned a lot about appreciating things and really enjoying what you buy. My wife and I make good, not great money.. but we manage our finances well , and are generally able to buy something if we want it. As i've gotten a little older.. I definitely appreciate being able to buy something.

I have co workers that live paycheck to paycheck in the same salary range as me simply because they party every weekend and are always on "vacation" . Sad really.

Nobody in the family, but have a few friends like that. In their early 30's with brand new $40k cars/trucks, $200 shoes, and expensive clothes....all while still living with their parents.

$30K millionaires keep the economy afloat. GDP doesn't grow that much by saving and investing...the U.S. economy thrives on people who live paycheck to paycheck. So...thank your cousin for those of us who are actually saving for tomorrow.

There's a trick to balancing "saving for the future" and "living for the moment". Living within your means and yet buying things you really want (even if you have to finance it) is the way to do it, IMHO.

30K Millionaires don't bother me in the least. Most of it is simply being young and ignorant to finances before knowing how it will all come crashing down.

I see this a lot... the married 30-40 YO family who is the $250,000.00 zillionaire. Big houses, naturally. But where the money is spent is in furnishings, clothing, shoes and entertainment. The men work and the women play house and tennis. $60.00 lunches add up. Central Market crap and wine adds up. Neiman's and Nordstrom add up.

Then the divorcees, ohh the divorcees. These women haven't had a career since the 90's and suddenly can't figure out life. Real Estate schools love these snobs.

My wife's cousins... Will probably be working until the day they die, but they have a 6000sq ft house (for just the 2 of them), a $15,000 BBQ/smoker on a trailer, every new gadget/electronic there is, vacations to Mediterranean, Europe etc... I'm not jealous. I love hanging out at their place and they're cool people, but they spend money like it's going out of style.
They're parents were the same way though. Always had to tell you how much something cost and spent money frivolously. He was 73 yrs old and still working full time when he died.

He spends $30 million on drones, guns, hookers and blow?

He must have some high quality drones, a very nice gun collection, high quality hoes and the purest of coke around.
