No just unhappy people who hate their jobs. This country needs more vacation time, less 8-5 job restraints, more compassion toward working moms;working until due date is a bit much

I’m a teacher, and it’s definitely not easy like some think it is. 8 years in, and I feel pretty stuck.

This thread would have been better if everyone stated what their job actually was.

I do cell tower work. In a different town every day and for the first time in life I actually like the people I work for. So I’m pretty happy about it

My (now 18-year-old) son’s pediatrician recently retired. My son had to go see him before he retired to give him a big bear hug. Awesome doctor.

I exchange 9 or 10 hours of my time each day for a previously-agreed upon amount of money. That’s it.

I can respect that a lot of people are ok with this but it's really depressing to me. I can't hate what I do 9-10 hours a day.

I was in the "like my job hate who I do it for category" until recently. Found a new company haven't started yet but hoping they'll be better.

What do you do these days Roger? Are you still working for that company that does outside activities in Juno?

No, the hours during the summer were too much. I was the ops mgr over several hundred people and 5 locations, most were direct reports. I took a job as mgr at a ferry terminal and it's awsome. Less hours and an incredible location.
Work in Auke Bay. We get visits from whales, seals, sea lions and orcas

Was in David Hills Office this morning. He broke my daughters fever and he caught a bunch of trout last weekend.

Martini’s boss is in Martini’s kitchen making Martini a martini. And a sandwich. Martini is sleeping with his boss. Martini loves his job.

I’m just grateful as hell to finally have a job in my field. The difficulty in landing it will make me appreciate it more in the long run.

Love it. Great boss. Great company. Great benefits. Lots of autonomy (but with lots of responsibility), work with intelligent physicists, meet with politians, admirals and generals. Just today, I was on an Ohio class submarine. How the frick does it get better than that?

That's great! I hope you have a great camera and some fast lenses that can reach out a distance to where they are.

I love my job. I make my own hours and I make a lot of money. Couldn’t ask for a better gig.

frick no, only felt like I was really having to work 4 or 5 days out of the past 20 years. Life is way too short to do something you hate.

Good job but after 35 years of working for the man I’m ready to retire. Hate the corporate looking over my shoulder, call reports, quota projections,Friday afternoon conf calls. So ready to leave it behind and head to the mountains of N.C
