No.
Quit preaching to me.

I don’t put much thought in it, just go on with my life. I’m out in the public all day, everyday, and seldom see smokers standing in areas where it would bother people. I can understand women feeling bad for them though.

I smoked from when I was about 16 until I was almost 65. For some strange reason I have not smoked a cigarette since July 2016. I never thought I would quit and never pictured myself as a non-smoker.
I still miss them when I play golf or leave court after a motion or a trial. But I'm pretty happy not to be smoking anymore and I hope I don't start up again.
I was smoking at least a pack a day and I figure that had I still been smoking I would have smoked at least 16,500 cigarettes over these last two years an three months. That can't be good.

My dad is a Viet Nam Vet and I always questioned why he smoked. He never told me any war stories until I was 40. Now I understand why he smoked. He did quit after a quadruple bypass. I apologized for judging him. You never know what a man is going through. Everybody has a fig leaf they hide behind to escape.

Nope, not really. My brother smoked very heavily for 30 plus years. He has bypass surgery twice and has COPD. Medically retired at 53 years old. He doesn't smoke anymore but the damage has been done. I don't like to see it but he did it to himself.

no frick them.
They, LITERALLY, cost me money through increased healthcare costs.
frick smokers.
frick fatties.
And obviously, double frick fatties that smoke.

No ... just those that unfortunately smell their stinking smoke, their stinking bodies or see their disgusting litter.

don’t get how after all these years, there isn’t a study about social smokers, like people who smoke 1-3 packs a year for special occasions and what not. Everything is so black and white. You’re either a pack plus a day smoker or a true non smoker. Where is the moderation?
I’m with you man. I enjoy a cigarette or 3 on the occasional raucous night. I may smoke a total of 3 packs worth over the year. People with no moderation have to ruin it for everyone.

No. All the baws at work smoke. It would be weird if they didn’t.

Back in the day, they had smoke breaks during Basic. Smokers could light up for 5 minutes. Nonsmokers had to keep PTing or digging holes or whatever it was they were doing at the time. And cigarettes came with the C rations.

If they do it’s because health insurance companies use it as an excuse to raise your premiums. Smokers pay a much higher price for health insurance than you, even for decades before it causes them health problems. They are more than covering their impact on the healthcare system.

I think that’s a fair assessment Counselor.
