I've been keeping up with some statistics from my commute each morning (70ish miles) and what I've found is that whether I try to maintain 65mph or 80mph or anywhere in between the whole way there, my average trip speed and trip time don't change.

What time I get there is MUCH more dependent on everyone else than what I do, so I drive slow.

I drive at the speed limit or a little below it.

It's always funny when you pull up to a light and see the guy who went flying by sitting right next to you.

I drive on the slow end compared to most. My first truck when I was 16 only had a speedometer that went up to 85 mph. So I learned to never drive to fast or the car is gonna start shaking.

Depends on the situation. In the city and neighborhoods I don't drive fast. On the open highway and empty back roads I take the opportunities when they present themselves. Using a rabbit generally keeps me out of trouble on the highway.

This describes me perfectly.....If I'm coming home from Orlando......the majority of the time I'll drive at night and I can average 85-90. In town too many children & pedestrians to drive fast.

I've seen more state troopers driving white tahoes on prowl for speeders in the last few months than I ever have.
They're everywhere.
I drive around the speed limit.

So much truth in this

Traffic on the freeway is the same, cars weave in and out and change lanes 20 times for an hour to be 5 cars ahead of you

I usually drive the speed limit and stay in the right lane.

I used to drive fast when I was younger and would get frustrated with slower drivers. But now that I've slowed down, driving had become much more relaxing. Don't have to watch for cops either.

I go a little faster on the interstate for long drives, but only by a couple mph.

no....just like to piss the OT off.

I'm actually very good about when and how I use the left lane.
