I can drink caffeine late and still sleep

What would be the point of drinking coffee if that was the case?

Caffeine doesn’t really affect me much. I recently realized my multivitamin has 2x as much caffeine as a can of soda, and I take it before bed.

Don’t really enjoy the taste or temperature of coffee, however.

I go through cycles, so at first it’s like one cup a day in the morning. Then after a while that won’t cut it so I’ll add a mid-morning coffee. Then after weeks of that I start feeling an energy dip in the afternoon so I’ll have one around 2. Then I’m like feeling bad from all the caffeine and cut back to 1 a day and start the whole cycle over again. I can’t drink coffee after 4:00ish or I won’t sleep well.

Your resistance to caffeine increases the more you use it on a daily basis. If you wanted to, you could become your FIL, but what's the point? It's just a routine, and not truly a pick me up to be used when you're close to falling asleep on a drive, etc.

Me neither. I take a cold espresso shot 30m before I leave for the gym, and that's it for the day.

I usually need a cup between 1 and 3 (no more caffeine after 3) to keep my unmedicated ADD in check. No issues sleeping.

I’ve seen the meds turn family into irritable monsters, so I just can’t mess with it.

I drink it when I wake up and usually 2 or 3 cups. I just like the ritual and flavor more than I'm sure it really wakes me up that much in the mornings though.

Early to mid afternoon coffee though really gives me a jolt of energy and focus.

I very rarely drink coffee with sugar but if I ever do in the afternoon that's like a bump of coke.

I worked with a guy that would drink two pots of coffee before work and drink coffee non stop during the day... He was so wired he was annoying as shite... It got so bad that the boss had to call him into the office and tell him to lay off the coffee...

Lately I barely finish a small cup in the morning. Not sure why, I used to be a coffee fiend. Rarely ever have it later in the day, not because of sleep concerns, just out of routine I guess.

I drink it all day at work. Usually not at night. On the weekends or when I’m off work I keep a pot brewing. My Dad drank it around the clock 24/7.

I drink Community Breakfast Blend, black. Just regular coffee. Can’t stand all the designer stuff nowadays.

I do it all the time. That caffeine is long gone by bedtime.

Morning cup around 7:00ish.

Afternoon cup around 2:00ish.

Occasional cup around 7:00PM if I have some work to do that night.

No problem sleeping after drinking 7PM cup.

I can't have coffee in the morning. It makes me sleepy or mellows me out(I have ADHD).

I usually have a couple of big glasses of ice water to start my day and get me to lunch.

We had a guy like that. He would make coffee at 4 pm. He worked in the field and would drink coffee all day no matter what the temperature was outside.
