Do you personally believe in ghosts? I’ll say that I do not. I believe when someone dies, they either go upstairs…or downstairs. That’s a belief that was fostered in the Baptist church growing up.

That’s my take, but what’s your take? Have you ever experienced something that you felt was an encounter with a spirit? Did you ever visit a place that was haunted?

Please share any experiences that you have had. Maybe some of you will change my mind about spirits roaming the Earth lol.

What if I don’t have a basement?

I moved into my house 13 years ago. The previous owner's name was Tex. I still have the letter that was stapled to the wall saying to not revive him if found dead or dying.

After living in the house 4 or 5 years, my son (who was about 7 at the time) started talking about Tex a lot. He gave specific details. My wife and I had never mentioned him to any of the kids. I asked my son how he knew so much about Tex. He said "you told me".

Spirits are real.

I would like to believe in ghosts, but I can’t say I have ever seen evidence that they exist. I grew up in a place that had as good a chance of being haunted as any that I know, but i never saw anything remotely questionable.

I'm leaning more toward interdimensional than ghosts/aliens.

Or ancient civilizations gone underground.

After my grandfather died, he visited my grandmother a few days later. She woke up one night and he was standing at the foot of the bed smiling at her. She was not the type to let her imagination run away with her but she firmly believed he came to see her.

Personally I've never experienced anything supernatural.

Almost every night I have to get up in the wee hours to pee. I always look out the window to my backyard to see if there are any ghosts are dead relatives in the yard. Obviously I’ve never seen anything, except for that one time.

I don’t know about ghosts. spirits, demons, places where the world and the next world are closer, absolutely. I always feel like the truth is someplace between all the different religions and beliefs. I’ve seen too many things, dreamed too many things, to not believe in something bigger than plain science.

I haven't, but I know a few very rational, analytically minded people who think they have. I'm open-minded and not one of those people who vehemently say they don't exist, like they have any clue.

We’ve had sounds in our house of what sounds like something falling upstairs a couple of times, sounds of someone stepping on the stairs to come down. The weird thing is when something falls in the kitchen and we hadn’t been in there in an hr or two. The dogs will watch the stairs maybe once a year, that’s creepy.

Nothing bad. It is our home and we feel at peace here. Wouldn’t know if it’s haunted, don’t really care, it’s our home.

I don’t want to. But the old house on our family farm that is over 100 years old…. My great grandparents lived there and he told us some crazy stories in his late years. About what he called “wanderers” people wandering around his house and having parties. Sitting in his car at night… after he passed my sister and her husband renovated the house and live there now. Now my young nephews have said some weird stuff in the last couple years. The middle one who is four just a few weeks ago said there was a voice in his bedroom copying everything he said… they’ve seen orbs on their baby monitors too. I’m glad I passed on the house when it was offered to me but I did build mine about 200 yards from it. Hope I didn’t disturb anything.

No. And none of you have ever seen anything remotely close to ghost.

Some people say this, but then say they believe in God. If that’s you, what is the difference?

The day we moved in to house someone scratched into wall the words "help me". we have a long hall where I have seen something dart across at the end numerous times. My wife calls it our guardian angel
