Scripture is very clear on this. Upon death, your soul ejects from your earthsuit.

Nope. Everything just goes black. We don't remember anything before we were born, why would we remember after we die?

If all there is to the human experience is the glimpse of time we get in the avg lifetime, we're getting F'd.

…….. because you don’t remember anything before it happens?

So while the odds of the required events taking place anywhere in the Universe are massive.... they aren't so massive that it couldn't happen once in 100 billion times 200 billion potential places.

and that's considering life to take place like here. our model of life does not have to ring true elsewhere.

And even that assumes we exist in the dimensions we know about. If we start talking about a multiverse, things get crazy fast.

Too many paranormal experiences as a young one, and psychedelic experiences as a young adult not to. Coupled with the knowledge of the sheer immensity and complexity of the universe, and that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. It is pretty baffling that we can trace the origins of the universe, but we really have no clue about what happens after death.

I just mostly fear the moment of death and loss of control of my consciousness as I plunge back into the unknown from whence I came, but am also excited for it at the same time as someone always thirsting for knowledge.

Wild conjecture to make sense of it all, but I have to think this life is some sort of learning experience for us either at a singular being or collective level.

Consciousness is just a function of your brain. If you're brain shuts off. So does your consciousness.

The people who think the know the unknowable are a spectrum.

At one end are brain-washed simpletons and at the other end are conmen.

The world would be a much better place if everyone stepped away from fairytale nonsense and stopped pretending to know things they can't possibly know.

we get sent to another universe and live another life. its a repeated process, and we we remember very slight bits from our previous life, but not enough to know what's going on exactly, and that's called Deja Vu.

I don't remember jack shite before the doc pulled me out!

This is something I've been pondering a lot lately. I have an almost three year old and a 1 year old. I try and think back of my memories and I can only see very tiny flashes of memories from the 2-4 year old range. Something in the brain is going on with self-awareness in that time frame, and it's fascinating. I love watching my son think through things. I can almost see the physical connections in his brain happening before my eyes. So that then begs the question of when exactly are we self-aware? Is it like a light switch where it's off one minute and off the next minute? Or is it like a dimmer switch that slowly kind of ramps up?

i don't remember before i was born. therefore, i'm convinced that i won't remember after i'm dead.

but.......humans are not made to accept the "end". so, if you found out that there is no god, you better hurry up and invent one that creates an afterlife for his humans. that's for sure.

Because of my profession of faith in Jesus
the Bible clearly states we'll be judged by Christ, not God Almighty. It's odd you believe in Christ but don't know what the Bible says.

Do you remember the first moment you achieved consciousness?

That doesn't seem odd at all. It's pretty common.

Didn’t believe in life after death up until BDJ picked himself off the turf against UCF when we was decapitated.

There's no way there's anything after we die, but it sure would be nice to believe again. :/
