The “fall back” is the END of daylight savings time.

So it reverts back to “normal” time.

It's 2021...what is that you're missing out on at 4:45 that you're not missing out on at 5:45?

As one of my farmer buddies so eloquently put it - cows don't give a fu(k what time our clocks say it is.

I’m retired and am a night owl. I go to sleep at 2 am and get up at 10 am. So it makes me no difference when the sun comes up or goes down. And I’ve learned to ignore what the morning’s low temp will be.

I enjoy being able to get to the deer stand some weekday evenings after work. After the time change it’s impossible. I like having more daylight after work than before work honestly. And we start at 7.

Exactly. I can go outside at 05:30 whether it’s dark or light. But I’d rather have an hour or even half an hour of daylight when I get home.

Didn’t we vote statewide to stay on DST? Did the feds shitcan that or just fail to address it?

You think it though.

By not falling back, his clocks will read 12 when everyone else says it's 11.

Will he be late or early for a meeting at 12?

Yes. Because it’s so freaking awesome when it gets dark at 4:45 PM.

And the sun will come up on average in June at 4:59 am and goes down at 7 pm in New Orleans on standard time.

So daylight saving time make sense in June, but year round daylight savings time could be an issue with the sun coming up at just after 7:30 in December, but sun would go down at after 6 pm.

Nope. Why would you want it to get darker earlier in the evening?
Although we should make it permanent, I would settle simply for saying "saving" and "offside" from now on.

I don't remember it ever not happening on Halloween weekend, but apparently it happens next week.

Anyone going fishing based on what time it is is doing it wrong. You want to be in the water 30 minutes before sunrise. Do you need fishing lessons. I can provide some for you.
