Yes. If it were moles you would see the raised areas where they are tunneling.

Yes. They are all over my yard. Fighting them is like fighting a land war in Asia.

I’ve had people tell me it’s moles, had some tell me it’s armadillos, and some people tell me it could be pigs. It’s a pain in the arse whatever it is, and I’m ready to remove the problem.

That is a Armadillo. Moles will leave a path where the dirt is raised a inch or so. Hogs make it look like your crackhead neighbor ran over the ground with a tiller.

Yeah, it’s armadillos digging for worms. They used to frick my yard up too. I’ve heard if you shoot them with a .22 they’ll jump straight up 4 ft in the air but I’ve never seen it myself.

Do you spend all day coming up with these stupid fact patterns just to make another post to get downvoted?

In less than 5% of the time it took you to type that ~200 word diatribe you could have opened Google in a tab, typed "Louisiana mole" and had your answer.

I shot a bunch of them one night years ago. They giving me a lot of trouble and I heard that they came out at night especially if it was raining.

So one night during a big storm I got my 22 pistol, a flashlight and my poncho and in my back yard I saw a bunch of them digging around, big and small.

I would shoot them and they would fly or jump into the air. 3 or 4 feet high sounds right. But they would run off down the hill. I thought maybe I was missing them and just scaring them whit the gunshot.

Next day a friend told be he had been walking down the street right down that hill and saw a bunch of dead armadillos in the ditch. So i think they were hit, jumped up, ran off and died.

I am having serious deja vu with this thread. I seriously had to look at the date to make sure it wasn’t bumped from a year ago.
