I'd advise not saying here, or anywhere in writing, what you would do in such a situation. It has been proven that if you say what you would do and you wind up doing it, it can and will be used against you.

Me? Well, I have no idea what I'd do in such a situation.

I'd apologize for my privilege and offer to play some midnight basketball in the driveway.

Have cameras around my house, so not firing unless I know I’m in a defendable situation.

But while the wife is on the phone w the police, I am disabling the car through my app, and fricking with them by triggering my panic button, locking the door anytime the successfully unlock it

Sadly it's a no-win situation.

They tried to steal someone's car, they get shot instead. I would say they lost.

I’d ask the one in the hoodie if his father knows he’s out so late

In all honesty activating the alarm via the panic button may be the best course of action. It brings noise and attention to them, which they don’t want. And if it makes them fire a shot that gives you what you need to open fire on them until they are gone.

Especially since they are literally saying “if you come out we’ll shoot you” and “don’t lose your life over a car.” Those are very direct threats to my life, made from my property, and I would 100% feel like my life and my family were in immediate danger, which should trigger a pretty easy self defense case.

Interesting scenario. It probably depends on the state (laws) and location on what the wise decision would be.

Shoot from cover.

I have a feeling that if I put a 7 mag sized hole in the closest ones chest, the others would start running, might even be able to pull off a 2 for 1 they're grouped close enough.

I feel confident living in texas and having all that on video, I'd be ok.

With nothing of value in the vehicle like always, eat the insurance deductible, quit being a dummy, and move somewhere with a garage.

What makes you believe that if you give criminal thugs the vehicle, that they wont shoot you, stab you, beat you half to death or to death?

I think the car owner was inside

In this scenario in CA of all places, as it has been said, it's a no win situation to defend your property, if indeed the thieves were armed...

Yell, loudly, smile m.....f....ers.

Your pictures are on the way to the local tV stations.

And never, ever, have a great car that is that vulnerable.

Tell elderly parents to get in the bathroom and lock the door. Go upstairs and open window a few inches, grab rifle, introduce punks to Jesus.

Yep. Best to live in a state where if they threaten your life anywhere on your property you can legally end them.

It will be so interesting when all the cars are mandated to have this and the government controls that button.

Chances are they run away, but what if they try to break in because they're all jacked up on mountain dew? Is it worth it?
