Do most medical experts actually suggest that you shower everyday?

I do it everyday because my hair looks really nasty when I wake up if I don’t. If not for that, I probably wouldn’t need to. I work an office job, so I don’t really don’t sweat that much.

Do most experts actually suggest that you do that everyday? I know it makes it more likely that you’ll get lice, and it also dries your skin out

A daily shower is not recommended.

That said, I shower every morning

That's because you do it every day.

You don't exercise or do anything to sweat during the day?

I work out a couple of times a week, but not every day.

Every other day is healthy. The French average every three days and they don’t seem to have any problems.

I go many days during the summer when I'm off and have nothing to do without showering.

My dermatologist told me to just wash hair, pits, and feet. Everything else will dry out.

So, what happens when you are not a filthy animal and shower every day? What are the maladies that you would be afflicted with by showering daily.

TIA

Well, dry skin has been mentioned. Don't know if I'd call that a malady.

The suggestion is that every day for most people is fine. There's a handful with dry skin problems that will be made worse but that's about it.

Is it even worth it to work out twice a week? Seems pointless.

My hair gets greasy AF if I don’t shower every day. Sometimes it’s just a quick hair wash though

Can't wake up without a shower, can't sleep without a shower.

Generally more frequent showers mean a somewhat weaker immune system than someone who has more immunity to germs.
