Do kids in other cities/states go to bars with fake ID's in 9th grade like NOLA kids?

We started going in 9th grade and by sophomore year it was like we were regulars. Do kids in NOLA still do that these days or is the fake ID detecting technology too good?

They still do it, but not as much as back in the day and they aren't as young as they used to be when doing it.

There are plenty of parties for them to attend starting around 16 where they can drink. Doesn't seem like the bar hopping is as much fun for these kids as it was when we were doing it in the 90's.

We tried once we got wheels, but our success rate was not good.

Not quite sure about that but I was in the ”World famous Boobie Bungalow” at 15. Memorable time.

They became hard to fake when they switched from a laminate cover to the current version. Also, plenty of people got busted stealing the 'backs' from the dmv so no one had people on the inside anymore getting them the stuff that's needed for a real id

It seemed so normal in the 90's to bar hop as a kid with my buddies but as an adult I think back and I'm amazed what we got away with. We would buy kegs and go party at the Fly after school on Fridays and the police would drive by and waive hi to us

We did in Lafayette when we were 16 and 17 in the mid 2000's. I started going to the Bulldog and Keg my junior year. They never checked at the bar either.

One of the reasons I chose LSU over staying in Lafayette was because I was already tired of the bar scene.

Lafayette started to get strick about that around 2014.

I don't think TJs or the boot ever asked for one.

No...that's a cultural anomaly...I find living other places that no one believes me when I said I started going to bars at 15. Explaining it by saying that it was at known high school kid bars didn't make it any better

And 2014 is when the McKinley street strip became a ghost town

9th graders these days are to busy shouting out their celebrity friends on social media to go to bars

Basically, kind of a shame. I still go to the Bulldog once or twice a year for the pure nostalgia.
The Keg was a Mexican club for a while and it was kind of fun but the guy who owned it moved his bar closer to Scott where there's a bigger Hispanic population.
