I like the keto diet because it limits sugar. I limit salt on my own as much as I can. I don't cut out vegetables because they provide needed fiber.

I just don't see the point unless you buy into the carnivore mindset that the vegetables are actually detrimental to your health

Just eat meat, veggies, and keep other carbs in extreme moderation

This.

I work out with the X3Bar system which works very well for me, but there is a Facebook group for enthusiasts that I visited a few times and apparently the hardcore X3ers all advocate a carnivore diet.

What's hilarious is that every tenth post or so is someone posting, "I've been following the carnivore diet for three months and I have lost significant body fat and feel GREAT, but I went to the doctor and the bloodwork shows that my cholesterol has tripled since the last time I got bloodwork. Should I be concerned about that?"

Yeah. You should. Or you're going to die of a heart attack lean and feeling great.

Only most of that group will tell them they shouldn't. They love Bro Science in the X3Bar World.

The point being, losing weight really doesn't require a hack or a gimmick.

Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't even require that you shun carbs.

I admitted I needed to shed weight toward the beginning of last year and I have been on a plan for 8 days now. I've lost over 10 lbs in 8 days. (And sure, a lot of that is just water weight, which would be the same if I had gotten similar results doing keto or carnivore or anything else.)

I've eaten one chicken breast a day, sometimes later in the day also eating a couple of boiled eggs, lots of beans, vegetables, fruit (yes, even bananas), and even a couple of slices of bread and one slice of cornbread.

The trick is just to keep track of calories and make sure you stay in a deficit, and to eat "real" food. I even violated that rule with the bread and cornbread, but just don't eat processed food.

1. Eat real food (whatever you want within reason)

2. Make sure you're burning off more than you're putting in

3. Exercise

That's all it takes. You don't need a hack or a gimmick. And you'll almost certainly be healthier for not trying to use one.

the carnivore diet is the easiest thing I've ever done. Lost 45 lbs. Will probably eat this way forever. The most difficult part is planning your grocery shopping - which is critical for any success.

Carnivore or mostly carnivore has been good for me. As with anything it is a transition. I would start out doing keto but heavy meat. Not trash keto. Trash keto is the processed junk they sell labelled "Keto".

Do whole foods like Eggs, butter, cheese, greek yogurt, veggies, berries and meats but mostly meat. Then it is easy to transition to Carnivore. I can do Carnivore pretty easy now. Cut out Pasta, Rice and White Potatoes.

Find some good electrolytes that is key to getting through the transition. Butter, bone broths, any red meat and Eggs are your friends.

Know that you will fail or slip up at parties etc. Just jump back on the train. It'll be the best decision you ever made to go to a simple way of eating. eating real foods made from single ingredients.

You must supplement with electrolytes and salt btw. You’ll be drinking a ton of water.

Y'all need to check out Strokes Gained. It's a hydration product aimed at golfers generally but it is awesome. You can get it on Amazon.

Don’t try to do any of the fad diets. Just eat as you always have. cut out snacks between meals. If you absolutely need something have an apple and banana. No juice and soda. No more Starbucks! That crap is full of sugar

Lots of different ones out there now. Find one without any bad ingredients and roll with it. I try and always get the flavorless ones like LMNT.

If you don’t like it don’t read it what’s so hard about that not trying to to be a butt just asking why it bothers you so much . This isn’t about food so much as it is about a diet change

Do OMAD, it's a life hack. Will take a couple weeks to adjust, but after that you're G2G. You only need to do it a few times/week.

Its all just cutting out carbs and sugar. Whether it's Adkins, Keto, Carnivore etc.

Cut down on carbs. Cut out sugar and alcohol. Watch your calorie intake and you'll start losing weight. All these diets are basically the same and just packaged but fundamentally they all cut carbs and sugar.
