He had an argument with AJ Bouye (his Jacksonville teammate) that water is not wet. He says that only when u apply water to something that it becomes wet. What they teaching at LSU these days?

Moisture is the essence of wetness, and wetness is the essence of beauty

Looks like he took some philosophy classes. I can understand his position and after thinking about it I tend to agree.

So every water molecule is applied to another water molecule, thus making every water molecule wet, right?

ETA: Thanks, ksaye, this is some good shite.

It's like saying a snail isn't slimy. Only what it touches is slimy.

Or something doesn't stink. Only what touches it becomes stinky.

Water has to be wet in the first place in order to make what it touches become wet.

Water isn’t wet. To be able to be wet, one must be able to be dry. Since water can’t be dry, it can’t be wet.

Water makes things wet. But water in and of itself, is not wet.

LINK this guy says it better than I

So... if water can't be dry then it is what? What is the opposite of dry? Wet?

I agree with Mr. Chark's philosophy here. Water itself is not wet. Being wet is the state of having water on you.

ETA: Bravo for bringing this up just before lunch on a Friday. I have high hopes that this is going to be the OT argument thread of the week.
