Nope. Water is itself. A blanket doesn't cover itself.

He had an argument with AJ Bouye (his Jacksonville teammate) that water is not wet. It's only when u apply water to something that it becomes wet.

He's correct.

Point out to me where there is water that is not covered by water on at least 1 surface.

I see water inside of a bottle. Not water on other water. It’s cool.

If it rains on the ocean, does the rain cover the ocean? Or is the ocean and the rain one and the same?

The surface touches the plastic. Everywhere else is not a surface. It's a part of the water.

... so your argument is that in the water bottle there is no water contacting other water at any surface?

Now you are starting to get it! Water is contacting water covering it in at least 1 surface!!!!

if water makes something wet, then things that are covered in water are wet (water covers itself).

In your analogy, slime = water.

The snail is something covered in the slime. Thus the snail is slimey because its covered in slime. My bathing suit is wet because its covered in water.

Water is wet.

Wet is the predicate noun. The definition of wet when used as a noun is "liquid that makes something damp."

So water is wet.

So are you saying a roof covers itself also?

So when it rains, a roof doesnt get wet right? Because like you said it covers itself.....

Water doesnt cover itself, it simply is water. It covers other things.

molecules have a surface. water molecules are covering other water molecules, due to the physical nature of being a liquid.

I understand my analogy.
And water is covered in water, it is also wet just like your bathing suit.

So a towel, by your definition, can not be wet because it is not a liquid. Hmmm. Maybe it's just a shitty definition.

Water is water. All the water in that bottle is one and the same. It isn’t touching each other. It is just water.

Uhh... no. It isn’t. It’s the same. Water is water.

If I take water and add more water the only thing that changes is the volume of water.

So let's say that a person is standing naked. They aren't really uncovered. They're really covered by themselves.

By your definition "covered" itself loses meaning. It's supposed to mean having a layer of another thing over something. By your definition, something can be covered while standing alone and "surrounded" by nothing but itself.

One skin cell totally covers the other skin cell. So you’re like. Totally covered. By yourself. Layer upon layer. LIKE AN ONION!
