How long did it take you to dig yourself out of the hole your divorce put you in? It's been almost two years for me, and I'm still feeling the financial and emotional strain from it. Is this just always going to be my new normal?

I was once very familiar with Jax. Rag Time in Atlantic Beach. There are broads in that place that can ease both the emotional and financial strain.

I feel for you and wish you the best, but please have another avenue for life advice besides this place.

One year financially. Zero days emotionally.

State of mind is everything. You need to focus on being happy. Being single is great. Focus on that.

I was lucky and didn't really have to deal financial strain.

The emotional strain took a couple of years.

Financial? Not long

Emotional? I still have bad days

3 years out

Really I came out smelling like a rose. Divorce cost me a total of $350

I'm happier, have a better co-parent relationship with my ex, and went on to have a lot of fun with a lot of ladies. Learned a lot too.

Still digging out financially after two years. My ex cheated on me while I was out of town and I kicked her out before I even got back home. Haven't looked back since.

Are there kids involved. If so, you will always have to have some connection. If no kids then, it's party time.
