Only reason why they going so black heavy is bc for the first time, there are some actual blacks with some money. So they are catering to this new profit potential. These frickers that own these companies don't give one frick about blacks or mexicans, or any other race. They just worship the all mighty $$$$$$$$. If they could ban a race from attending all their movies and if it would bring record profits, they would do it. Facts. It is all about the money.

They will after being indoctrinated by their low IQ, sweathog parents to think there is something wrong with it.

A black Arielle will be odd.

A white Tiana from Princess and the Frog would be weird.

Are people really upset that a white girl is not playing a mermaid? Are all mermaids supposed to be white?

There are a lot of things people could mad about, but who plays a fricking mermaid shouldnt be one.

I don’t know if anyone is actually mad over this. However, I do think that there are plenty of people tired of everything, including now kids cartoons, becoming all about race/gender/sexuality bullshite.

I really don't care who they cast as Ariel, but Dinsey has plenty of movies featuring different nationalities which makes this appear as a forced publicity stunt. Which I strongly dislike.

I’ll believe Disney isn’t racist when they cast a Chinese Cinderella.

Ed Catmull went over this in his book about management at PIXAR and Disney. He said that because the title had “Princess” in it the boys had no interest in it.

I get why people would notice the casting for this ....but I generally fail to see any negatives.

It's a show for children...who tf cares. It's not like anyone here was auditioning for the role anyways.

Only people maybe hurt are white women trying to act in Hollywood.

Boohoo.

Of course it is. These companies get their information from most of the same people. What's in, what's not. It's all about $$$ and advertising.

Don't worry everybody. Hollywood will make another movie about Egypt and cast a bunch of Scottish and mf's from Australia cause quote/unquote "we couldn't find any blacks/middle easterners"

They will correct this the hollywood way which is arse backwards.

Because that's exactly what it is. This was crafted from the very beginning.
