With a family of 4 and two children under 8?

Nothing screams vacation more to me than having my small children on a plane for 20 hours

Nobody goes to Disney for 1 day so the $224 a day means nothing to most people. The more days you go the less per day it is.

Bingo. Our family pass connection is a corporate 'cast member' and she's always said that about the one day ticket prices. Everyone looks at that and shares it for clicks but almost nobody pays full price(now it's $224/day) to visit a Disney park.

We took a trip to Calgary/Eastern B.C. last July and we spent less for all 3 of us over a week then we would have for a 2-day trip to Disney. Same thing this coming summer. We are heading back out to SE Wyoming(3rd time in 12 years) and we won't spend that much.

It's insane.

We did a similar thing. 10 days In 2021 we took the kids to a shite ton of national parks and fun shite out west. Zion/Grand Canyon/Royal Gorge/Yellowstone/Mt Rushmore/Whitewater rafting in Salida/Las Vegas. It was cheaper than a 5 day vacation to Disney.
But we certainly enjoyed Disney in 2023 as well.

Why are people so shocked it's a lot cheaper to drive around national parks and staying at hotels than it is to spend a few days riding $50,000,000+ rides, watching talented performers like Beauty and the Beast at Hollywood Studios, and firework shows that cost Disney $100k per night?

Insane is not understanding the difference between the two vacations and not grasping that most people enjoy both.

We go every year but I'm tired of the place.

126%? That's chicken feed. Silverscript just informed me that my monthly premium for my drug coverage is going up from $23 to $73 a month. same for the wife. That's about 300% in one year.

Less people coming means those that do will pay more.

Article says park expansion is part of the reason for rising costs.

So current customers pay more so they can bring in more customers.

Probably paying pennies on a dollar for the true cost

Disney's WOKE agenda has their numbers down. Hence more price increases for this reason as well.

I think it was $100 in the 90s. I’m surprised they aren’t trying to charge more than $224.

Circus Circus. At that price.

You can get Luxor cheap too.

I won't stay at Circus again it was cheap but it's far from everything and very very dated.

I took a flight recently out of NO with a layover both ways in Orlando. I was shocked at the families on my SW plane out of NO going to Disney there and back. The Orlando airport was crazy too with young families so people are still going!

The ‘90s was known as the “Disney Decade” and by the mid ’90s over 500 million guests had visited the Park. Disney invested heavily into the development of the Brand with the addition of Animal Kingdom, a variety of new and exciting rides at all of the theme parks, golf courses, the Disney Institute, Disney Cruise Line and Blizzard Beach Water Park. A one day pass to Disney in 1991 was $33 and had increased to $44 by 1999.

People flying from Europe don't spend that long on a plane to get to Orlando. But congrats on using Priceline. Moron.
