Seeing a lot of "frick Disney" and "good" comments out there. Curious as to why people have such animosity towards Disney.

I think a more appropriate response is "who actually cares?"

It's almost not news.

Here's an infographic of how many companies Disney owns. It's staggering.

Unless something changes soon they’ll have to start selling those off, most likely at bargain basement prices.

That translates to $900 million in 30 days. If something doesn’t happen soon, Disney will be bankrupt.

It has a market cap of $187 billion. It will be fine.

I can’t imagine they’re charging that much to put advertising on ESPN right now.

I'm tired of seeing all the queers/gays/whatever they want to call themselves this week on that HIV drug ad. Never thought I'd say I wish the networks would run only political ads. Between the gay guys and the liberal-triggering MyPillow dude there's not many normal ads out there right now. Give me a couple car ads, a KAG ad, and a few programming ads...I'll be a happy guy.

Had it not occurred to any of you that if the lockdown is causing Disney to lose massive amounts of money, then it’s also doing the same to other businesses as well, businesses who do not have the strength and assists to sustain losses in the same manner as Disney??

Please. Disney can get loans if needed. Anyone in their right mind would loan Disney money.

As soon as the shutdown ends, Disney will be right back to raking in dough.

Disney is not just the parks, it is a huge conglomerate. Across all aspects of the company, it's not hard to see a 30M per day loss. Even in the parks, they are still having to pay security, maintenance, debt service, etc.

Their problem though is they’ll have to liquidate in a time of economic shock on par with the Great Depression. In other words, they won’t be as many perspective buyers and the price they can demand will be weak.

I’ll give them $350 for space mountain.
