Gay people exist. Gay children exist. It's natural and they comprise a significant portion of the population.
Now grow up and move along.

Meh. Maybe 5% of the population.

You are correct about the rest though. Grow up and move on. You aren't going to catch cooties and your straight kid isn't going to become gay by watching a show with a gay person.

It is beyond ridiculous to be so upset about this.

Here's the thing: I don't care about gays. Also, I don't care about non-gays. Just do what you want but SHUT THE frick UP about it.

They (Disney, Hollywood, etc) are scumbags and pedos and will never stop trying to push queer on children, little by little.

Melt. No reason that this should move the needle for you one way or another. Your kids would be better off if you set for them an example of an adult who isn't unnecessarily fixated one way or another on this kind of thing.

It's perfectly ok and not new. Dumb and backward to think otherwise.

You're so brave!!!

But you had no issues about a movie with a human falling in love with an animal? You may have issues.

I had no idea this was the first gay character. Many of their movies consist of singing and dancing....not that theres anything wrong with that.

If you're not paranoid about it, you wouldn't feel this way because it's not forced on anyone "at every turn"

Can't tell if you're joking or serious.

If you're joking, OK.

If you're serious, you clearly know nothing about kids.

This is the truth. Media are consumed voluntarily. If you feel bombarded by the material provided through the media you consume, it is because either you are consuming the wrong media or, more likely, too much media. If some of you would turn off the tv and walk your fat asses around the block a couple times per evening, you'll be hotter and less homophobic.

Right, I've never felt its force on me.

That poster that thinks that is unknowingly seeking it out then lashing out about it, which probably speaks to the notion that those who are most outspoken about it or usually doing so to hide their own insecurities about it.

Also, did the OP explain to his child why they couldn't go see it? Imagine how they child will feel about her father for the rest of their lives if that child is already feeling something is "different" and they may be gay themselves. Good luck with that!!!

My favorite kind of chicken littles in this kind of debate are Peggy. Peggy talks with a cig hanging out of her mouth about how the gays are ruining the country.

Meanwhile, 50% of her family are divorced and pure white trash. Peggy and 75% of her family are extremely overweight due to eating/drinking sugar all day, which will result in the government having to fund their diabetes and heart health treatments.
Her kids spend most of their free time on devices or watching tv.

But yeah, those damn gays are the problem in this country Peggy.

I know a lot about kids, and I know the impressionable young kids generally know nothing about gay people or being gay, and don't care about it. Until kids reach puberty, that crap doesn't matter to them at all. And at that point they know who they're attracted to, so they aren't going to be brainwashed into being gay
