My Uncle's friend did this for a jake brake ticket in some small Alabama town. I want to say it was a touch over $300.

Why haven't we eliminated the penny already? Makes little cents to still have it as currency.

man gets caught speeding in what was likely a neighborhood (just guessing off the speed limit).
man freaks out that cop actually shows up to court date.
man acts like he was held at gunpoint over the fine and takes out anger on random clerk who had nothing to do with it.

I am always pretty nice to the clerks.

frick that guy. Speed limit posted 30. He broke the law then went to the trouble to request a jury trial and was convicted by his PEERS. Not by a judge but by 12 people that found him guilty. fricking don't speed dumbass. I wish they would beat him with a sack of pennies.

The only way to guarantee yourself not getting a ticket is to not drive. If you're always eyeballing your speedometer you're not watching the road which is unsafe and you might miss a speed limit sign. If you're on high alert for speed limit signs then you can't watch your speedometer close enough.
