Smokey Mountain snuff.
It is nothing, and I repeat, NOTHING like the real thing, but if you are trying to quit and/or just want the feeling and or a taste, it is the safest alternative. They use corn silk, cayenne pepper, and molasses to make most of their flavoring and texture. I quit for a few months using it, but I have sadly switched back to the real thing.
Just had Baby MDtiger a few weeks ago and am about to quit for good to keep him from being exposed to it. I will be purchasing several cans for the cravings.

Only safe way is not to do it

I know a lot of people that smoke, and I know a lot of people that got cancer from it.
I know a lot of people that dip, don't know any that have gotten cancer from it.
Take it for what it's worth.

As someone dealing with a parent that has cancer from daily use of tobacco products, the reward does not outweigh the risk.

I wake up, brush my teeth and from that time till I go to bed I have a dip in. If I am drinking it might be more than three cans a day.

How the hell do you drink and dip at the same time?

I've only ever dipped 5-10 times in my entire life. I smoke like a freight train, though. If I'm working outside I'll toot some snuff, but once I finish up, I chain smoke if I remain sedentary.

You learn to bypass your lip. Alcohol goes to your throat, don't ruin a dip for a few sips.

Tell you what make some time to walk the halls at MD Anderson in Houston and stop and talk to as many patients as you can to see what their thoughts are on this subject.

I have a couple of good friends who have dipped a can every day or two for years and have never had any problems. I've had probably only 15 to 20 "dips" in my life. I don't particularly like or dislike the taste but it gives me one of the best, most relaxing buzzes I've ever had. I can't get into it though because of the outside possibility of developing mouth or throat cancer. Does anyone know anyone who has developed mouth cancer from dipping? Just wondering if I can get away with getting one or two small dips a day
Ladies and Gentlemen here is a prime example of a person taking a harmful yet legal drug for a high, one that will surely lead to addiction and dependency, when a much safer option is illegal.

My great grand mother would dip the powdered snuff. IDK why this thread made me think of that.
One time when I was a youngin, I was at my grandmother's house when her snuff dipping great aunt came for a visit. I was fascinated

the reason folks get cancer is, not many of them have a good enuf mineral level.
but bro, that's one nasty habit....
I used to smoke, took 3 tries to finally quit...it was a nasty stinky habit....figured it wasn't doin me much good, so I finally quit. I was in my 30's.

that pdf not to encourage it....just laying out the facts. and God forbid the cancer comes your way...seek out alternative treatments. why? turn of the century, rockefellers used to sell kerosene for curing cancer, til they found a more lucrative way to make money thru treatment plans....a very very profitable racket. pre 1900 merck manuals mention turpentine and kerosene....now all of a sudden they're poisons....yeah, to their piggy bank
do a search for kerosene and healing, read
and please don't take that snuff crap....but its your decision
search for senate document 264 and read

Never got into cigs, but they never bothered me. Dip however, I can't stand it. Maybe because my great uncle would always leave his spit bottles around when I was young.

SNUS is 100% safe. It's not the same but close enough.

Are you suggesting we drink turpentine and kerosene?
You know people also use to swear by bloodletting and doses of mercury too, right? That they gave heroin to babies?

My great grandmother did it too. She also smoked a corn cob pipe and had no running water in her house. I still remember my mom making me kiss her. It was awful and my mom had to take some perverse pleasure in making me do it

Don't do it, you'll only regret it later and no chick in the world finds dipping attractive.
I was dipping more than a can a day in college and now that I work most of the day I'm probably doing a can every two-three days and I still feel held by the balls.
Drinking and dipping used to be an auto throw up for me back in high school, but after like 20 tries I learned to power through. I do feel like the beer takes he flavor away though.
